New on Netflix for August 2016 #StreamTeam

brian Family, Sponsored Post, Tech, The Kids Leave a Comment

Share me!Well, so one thing lead to another and I haven’t posted much about Netflix lately. To be honest, I haven’t had a lot of time over the summer to watch much TV.  Myself and the wife started in on House of Cards a few month ago and for one reason or another haven’t had time to binge watch it much lately.  I can say it wasn’t for a lack of interest.. It really make me wonder how much is …

*New* Facebook (Presidential Candidate) Reactions

brian random thoughts Leave a Comment

Share me!In case you missed it today, Facebook came out with a new set of interactions on posts, or “reactions” as they have come to call them. I’m totally bummed out that there still isn’t a “dislike” button. This is ironic, since I would say 99.9999% of the dislike that happens in the world originates from stuff that we read on Facebook. So, I thought I would change things up a bit and give my take, or should I say, …

brian DIY Leave a Comment

Share me!My son has been asking for a LEGO table for a while now. I’ve wanted to build him something that looked nice, but was also functional for what he needs. What does he need ? About a 4 ft work area A place to store lego blocks It needs (or he wants) it to look cool. All in all here is what you need for this Lego table 2 – 2x4x10 ft (I used SPF), but any straight wood …

A Good Butt Rub and some Smoke on the Grill

brian Cooking, Stuff at Home Leave a Comment

Share me!I thought I would do a quick post/recipe to show some of the mad cooking abilities of my Vision Kamodo Grill. I like to cook. No doubt, whether its the stove, on a camping trip, or on the grill, I like to put the fire to the meat and make it happen. I wrote this post a few months ago and talked about my kamodo grill and the who, what, why on why I purchased one. I was REALLY …

Make sure your Shopping at Walmart Includes a #StraightTalkWishList This Year

brian Sponsored Post, Tech Leave a Comment

Share me!Although this post is sponsored my Straight Talk, the opinions are 100% my own and are completely honest. As luck would have it, we have a Christmas party at work tomorrow. In true dad rambling fashion, I have waited until the last minute to come up with the perfect batch of cookies and the right hor d’oeuvres for the occasion. Crap. So, I find myself in the store and don’t know what to buy, how much to buy, or …

Netflix Releases and Updates Nov 2015 #StreamTeam

brian Sponsored Post, Tech Leave a Comment

Share me!Disclaimer:  Although this post is sponsored by Netflix, all opinions are 100% my own.   We call our son the “car salesman” because he can talk anybody into anything (or try his hardest at least). Prime example: bedtime tonight (or shall I say EVERY night?) He has always been a bedtime procrastinator, and is pretty good at it, with all of his excuses: “It’s too quiet.” “It’s too loud.” “It’s too dark.” “It’s too light.” But now that he …

Share me!Disclosure: Post sponsored by Lunchbox but all opinions are my own. If you are reading this, there is a 99.99999% chance that you either got here on a computer or a mobile device.  I have many of them, but my workhorse is my laptop.  I use my laptop every. single. day.  I used to have a desktop, but it took up too much room and I was constantly in the home office doing work on it.  BUT, with the …

Building a Teardrop Camper #6- The Front and Roof Framing

brian Teardrop Camping Leave a Comment

The roof of our camper was built in a few easy step. Since were are using the “inside out” method of construction, we actually put the inside ceiling in before we added the framing. After we assembled the walls, one of the last things that we did was to cut a small strip of wood out of the top of the side walls. This would provide a ledge of sort for the ceiling to sit on once the walls were stood up.
