Wow! No sleep required

It is amazing to be how little sleep I can get by on somtimes.  People always ask “how’s the baby sleeping”.. but they don’t ask “how are you sleeping”

Seems like the “experts” tell us we should get somewhere around 8 hours or so of sleep a night.  Really?  That is a joke, I don’t know when the last time was that I got that much sleep in one night. I mean how has time for that.  That’s 1/3 of the entire day.  Do I really want to spend 1/3 of my life sleeping, that would be a waste?  I think about 5 hours is sufficient.  Any less and i don’t know where I’m at, any more and I fell lazy.

  1. I agree. I actually feel MORE tired if I get the recommended sleep! I hate wasting time doing unnecessary sleeping just because sme doctor recommended it. LOL

    I do believe, like with most things, that sleep is as individual as we are. Some of us require less and others need more. Different days will leave us with different sleep requirements. It’s just not a one-size-fits-all thing to me.

    Since I was a child, I’ve averaged somewhere between four and six hours a night (or day when I worked nights). I loved working nights because that is when I best functioned. Sometimes it’s frustrating being a night-owl in a day-bird world! I also discovered with having my son that I can function on less sleep than I thought possible… though he tested my limits often.
