Mine is a tie it is between it is a Wonderful Life and Scrooge the one that George C Scott stars in. They are both my favorites for two reasons is shows you that you do make a difference whether you think so or not and that everyone can have a chance to change and make things right.

I really enjoy the movie This Christmas, featuring the actor and singer Chris Brown. Because it is all about being a family and helping others out in a time of need.

  3. Home Alone, the first, the original, the classic. My mom and I never really spent time together. She was a single parent of three, two older boys and myself. She worked so hard and all the time. Since this was released Christmas of 1990 in theaters, and was a very huge box office hit, it was still playing in March. One day, March 23rd, 1991, out of the blue, my mom asked me to go to dinner and a movie with her and I got to pick where we ate and which movie to see. I’ll never forget that precious night with her. For the first time in years, she laughed uncontrollably. She said she had never laughed that hard in her life and I believe it. Every year, I watch that movie with my teen daughters and I think back to that wonderful night and laugh just as hard as I did back then 😉

  4. I was going to say The Polar Express, but then I saw someone mention Home Alone. This has to be the best Christmas movie over. Funny, Cute, and has such a good ending. I love it!

  5. I have always loved Home Alone. I watch it every Christmas time and never tire of it. It’s just a great, fun holiday movie for the whole family.

National Lampoons Christmas Vacation – It’s funny, has great actors and is a movie I grew up with and have always enjoyed 🙂

  11. It’s a Wonderful Life is my favorite because of the lesson it teaches and that is that family is more valuable than money.

  12. My favorite is It’s a Wonderful life. I think the reason I like this movie so much is that when I was a kid, every year around Christmas my family and I would watch this movie. I still watch it every year and it really puts me in the Christmas spirit.

  18. For me, it’s National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. It’s got quotable lines, great characters, and never fails to get a laugh out of me.

  19. I always loved A Charlie Brown Christmas. I love that Vince Guaraldi jazz music and I really like that it actually has a good message teaches about Christmas for real. And it’s safe and cute for the whole family

  25. Jesselyn A/Jesstinger

While these is no question that “It’s a Wonderful Life” is a beautiful tale that succeeds in capturing the true spirit of Christmas ~ and if I need a good laugh with non-stop giggles and a lot of smiles in an entertaining family movie that STILL carries a Christmassy message, you can’t beat “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.” (I also enjoy “Trading Places” ~ though it only just barely makes the “Christmas movie” cut ~ but hey, “The Sound of Music” managed to make it in – in a BIG way!

Still, my all time favorite has to be “Miracle on 34th Street” which is beautiful and funny and fiercely sings the spirit of Christmas with a witty and unrepentant joy.

P.S. As a little girl with brown hair and eyes, I always adored Natalie Wood!

  26. Elf!!! Voting because this movie makes our whole family laugh every time we watch it! We love it.

Thanks for the chance to win!
